Julie Sladden is a born and bred Northern Tasmanian and medical doctor.

Julie was raised in George Town before completing her medical training in Hobart.

After six years working in the UK, Julie and her husband returned to Northern Tasmania to raise their two sons and enjoy the Tasmanian way of life.

Julie has worked as a local GP in the community and as an emergency doctor at Launceston General Hospital. As a breast cancer survivor, she also understands the health system from a patient’s perspective.
In 2022, Julie was elected as a West Tamar Councillor and is a passionate advocate for her local community.

Julie has had a long association with the Bass community through work, school, church and community sports. She is a keen swimmer, is active in the water sports community and loves spending time in her garden.

Julie believes that Northern Tasmania is one of the best places in the world to live with a lifestyle and opportunities to match. She is committed to seeing the Bass community thrive and grow, focusing on supporting the community through healthcare, education and housing.
